We all loved celebrating World Book Day! Thank you for your support with costumes and the book fair. It was a wonderful day full of books, illustrating and reading! The children enjoyed sharing books with other children across the school and they all made their own bookmark.

We have all been very inspired by Martin Brown, illustrator of the Horrible Histories series. He told us all about the books he has illustrated and we helped him to draw some very funny faces! A huge thank you to the Friends of St John’s for organising the book fair and for Martin Brown to visit us. The Sparkle Time Book Club are currently reading Nell and the Cave Bear written by Martin and they got their copy of the book signed!
